Golden Latte With Turmeric, Ginger And Honey

This recipe combines the warmth of turmeric and ginger with honey or maple syrup and milk to make a tasty health- promoting drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup milk dairy, oat, almond or coconut
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or 1/2 grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Equipment

  • 1 pan
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 cup measuring
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon measure

Method
 

  1. In a small pan gently warm the milk over medium heat. Do not allow to boil.
  2. Whisk in the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Gently simmer the milk mixture for 5 minutes. Do not allow to boil.
  4. Pour your drink in to a mug and enjoy. You may add an additional pinch of cinnamon as a garnish.
  5. You many sweeten the milk by adding additional honey or maple syrup.
  6. Golden milk can be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days. Gently reheat to use.
